Emma wants to swim . . .

after ducks, that is. We were out walking after some of the pond ice thawed and Emma spotted some ducks out on the water.

If she hadn't been on a leash, I'm sure she would have been swimming after them. She waded out to where she would have had to start swimming, but I didn't feel like plunging in after her.

"Ok, Mom, but can I go in the mud and try that route???"

poor emma -- mama goes off to china and doesn't even bring you back a rubber-ducky or at least a new blog entry!

(insert evil laugh here)

Yes, poor Emma! At least she spends time in my lap while I'm processing photos.

so, what did you bring back to emma from the mountains? poor little emma -- abandoned again (sniff--sniff)

Poor little Emma got her mommy back again from Nepal. She spent 10 minutes letting me know how much she missed me, too.

She also gained about a pound, so now she's going to have to go back to boot camp to lose the extra weight. Poor little girl - first she's abandoned and then she has to go to fat camp.

Becky - Thanks for the family tree for Emma. I removed the post because there was info that I didn't think Dalton's owners would want to have in the public arena.

It's great to know that Tootsie, Tally and Carl are doing well. We really, really want to get another doxie to keep Emma company. She's been such a joy to us.

My birthday is next weekend, and it will be five wonderful years since Emma joined our family. Actually, we brought her home Oct 7th, but she was my birthday present - so that's the anniversary I count. She's the best dog anyone could have as a companion - I'm so lucky!
